Join us on our next virtual journey when we will be exploring the lovely River Frome as it wanders along from its source in the chalk downlands north west of Dorchester to the sea at Wareham and Poole Harbour. Join us on Wednesday 28th July at 6pm

Journey with us as we discover the stories of the Iron Age “water people” who lived and worked in this beautiful river valley.

Find out about the Saxons and the Vikings, and why Wareham lost out to Poole as the most important port in the area.

Enjoy the simply wonderful countryside in the Frome valley and discover its wildlife secrets along the river bank… from “Ratty” the water vole to an otter success story. Find out about where all the salmon have gone… and what we can do to help preserve this waterside environment.
