ogdensfreetraders

We’re going to be traveling to Christchurch, following the route of the Corkscrew Railway, and going back in time to the late 1700’s. We will be finding out about smuggling along the South Coast, and what happened on two days in particular in 1784.

These are the days of July the 15th and July the 16th, during which time the Battle of Mudeford was fought.

Its a tale of real life characters on both sides, with everything at stake. A tale of murder and corruption, of bravery and of consequences.
