Stainless-Steel ‘Bangle’ rings ideal for making Dorset Buttons
I have received several requests for a ring that is not only narrow but also has strength and wont bend when being worked.
Over the years I have managed to sauce and use these stainless-steel rings for many of my work projects. I have found them perfect for my own use so hope you like them. I have several reasons for enjoying working with these rings as they are corrosion resistant, have a high tensile strength, lovely to work with and apparently environmentally friendly as the can be recycled.
I have four sizes and sell them individually. The 45mm ring is a stainless-steel jewellery finding, the other three are bangles.

Dorset Buttons originated in Shaftesbury in the 1620s. They became a major cottage industry in Dorset creating employment and income for many families. By the 1780s 4,000 women and children were employed in the industry. The industry came to an end in the 1800s with the introduction of a button making machine.
