Friendship Bracelets are a way for friends to show how much they mean to one another and I have designed this bracelet for all ages and features a Dorset Button using the Cartwheel design.
Colours will vary depending on what I have to hand together with the colour of the elastic so once this colour scheme runs out, I will upload another combination of colours.

Each kit includes:
A short history of the Dorset Button industry
Instructions on how to make a Dorset Button and how to attach the button to the elastic.
Enough thread to make the button plus a bit extra
1 x size 18 blunt ended tapestry needle
1 x 25mm ring
15cm of colourful elastic
All you need is scissors.

The Dorset Buttons Industry originated in Shaftesbury in the 1620s, and became major cottage industry throughout Dorset creating employment for many families. By the 1780s 4,000 women and children were employed in the industry. Dorset Buttons were replaced by machine buttons during the first half of the 1800s.
