18 January - 31 January
RNLI Swanage have a life webcam system operating, where you can see boats launched.
In addition, each August Swanage hosts the Lifeboat week, a fundraising event held to support RNLI Swanage and their volunteers.
Swanage Lifeboat Station is one of over 230 RNLI lifeboat stations around the coast of the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
The RNLI is a charity and relies on voluntary contributions from the public to keep its lifeboats at sea.
Two lifeboats are based at Swanage, an All Weather ‘Shannon’ class lifeboat and a ‘D-Class’ inshore lifeboat. We have a volunteer crew comprising 30 sea going crew and four shore crew who launch and recover the boats.
Visitors are welcome to the lifeboat station, although at the moment due to COVID 19 restrictions the station is closed to the public.
